bundy the bush kangaroo

About the Author

Ken was born in Ballarat, the middle child in a family of three children. From early childhood he developed a love of music, horses and the Australian bush. Music appreciation came from his father, who would entertain the family each evening by playing the piano accordion and singing. Ken would spend many hours with his Dad in the bush hunting and working on farms.

At the age of 15 Ken and his cousin travelled and worked throughout the Australian outback where his experiences formed the basis of his children's adventure books. In his 20's and into his late 30's Ken worked as a professional entertainer, singing in night clubs, hotels and cabarets around the country. Ken has composed numerous songs ranging from country to gospel to contemporary, and has released a number of recordings of his original material on CD which he has performed live on National television. He is a life member of the Australia-Asia Performing Rights Association (APRA) as a songwriter. He has also performed in America and the Philippines.

Ken's book writing career started in 2009 by accident when he wrote some short stories for his grandson who lives in Wales in the United Kingdom. After each story, his grandson requested more, so Ken continued to write further adventures which he put together into what became his first published book, the Adventures of Bundy the Bush Kangaroo.

Ken's writing style revolves around well rounded cute and cuddly Australian animal characters, with underlying morals and themes, all seamlessly interwoven into an adventure storyline. When he is not writing books he is composing new songs.
